Végre itt az idei első olyan díj, ahol nemcsak a függetleneket díjazzák. Az International Press Academy (IPA) is bejelentette Satellite elnevezésű díjának a jelöltjeit. Összesen 49 kategóriában osztanak díjat a film, a televízió, a DVD-k és a videojátékok világában, az idén legjobbnak bizonyultak között. Az egyes jelölteknél akadnak nagy meglepetések, például a Lookout című film több jelölése engem meglepett, noha nagyon jó kritikákat kapott, csak a tavaszi premierje óta, akár el is felejthették volna, de nem így lett. Sok helyen bejött a papírforma, főleg a színész kategóriákban nincs nagy meglepetés. Bizonyos filmek viszont hiányoznak, azok, amelyek bemutatója november végére, vagy decemberre esik, ezeket nyilván nem tudták megnézni a döntnökök.A Golden Globe jelölések bejelentése előtt 2 héttel szépen elsimítja a dolgokat ez a jelöltlista.
